Meet The Team
Mike Davis
BBS, CA, CPP - Director
Mike completed a BBS (Fin. Accy), majoring in Accounting and Finance, and continued his qualifications and experience to be accepted as a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand as a Chartered Accountant and holder of a Certificate of Public Practice. He now has his own practice where, from offices in Waikanae, covers both the Wellington and Kapiti regions.
On leaving school Mike completed his Fitting & Turning Apprenticeship in 1984 and progressed to become Factory Manager at William Cable Limited.
Mike and his wife Melanie left New Zealand in 1990 to travel throughout America, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East and Asia. After 8 years of travel and work in England they returned home to New Zealand.
Outside of work Mike’s passions include classic cars, tramping, engineering, hockey and enjoying life with his wife and three children.

April Dale
BBS, CA – Senior Accountant
April is a high achieving Chartered Accountant and we are truly stoked to have her join our ranks to fill the role of Senior Accountant. April brings with her a wealth of experience and no shortage of accomplishments.
April is also an active community member - Treasurer on the Waitarere Rise Resident's Society and Member of the CA ANZ Manawatu Local Committee! We regard these closely aligned qualities as highly complementary and integral to our own values here at Davis & Co.
April does of course find time for her own passions and pursuits too, so don’t be surprised if you see her on a ski slope, out for a hike, travelling and exploring or experimenting and enjoying some tasty kai.

Kelly Smith
BAcc, CA - Accountant
Kelly has been with Davis & Co since May 2015, returning to the workforce after extensive travelling and raising a family.
Before joining us, Kelly worked on cruise ships for eight years where she met her husband, Jon, and returned to the beautiful Kapiti Coast to raise a family. She enjoys yoga, horse riding, spending time down the beach with her family and tries to get out on her mountain bike as often as she can.
Kelly attended Massey University extramurally and gained her accountancy degree as a mature student after a change in career path. She continued her study and gained her Chartered Accountancy certification, all whilst working full-time and bringing up a young family.
When Kelly is not working you will find her at the paddock or at the beach.
Kelly is a Certified Xero Advisor.

Kellie Mears
Administration
Kellie has been with Davis and Co since 2020 and looks after our administration along with processing payrolls for clients. She is the first point of contact at Davis and Co and enjoys getting to know our clients.
Kellie enjoys spending time with family and friends, making the most of the Kapiti Coast’s beautiful outdoors. She enjoys going to the gym, making the most of our local walkways and chasing the sunsets on our amazing coastline.
Kellie is a certified Xero Payroll Advisor.
Karl Koh
BSA, CPA - Accountant
Karl is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) and a Certified Public Accountant who has been with Davis & Co. since 2019.
Before joining the team, he gained experience working at an audit firm as an associate.
Outside of work, Karl has a passion for cars and likes a good road trip. He also enjoys travelling to places he's never been before.
Vanessa Sicat
BSA, Junior Accountant
Vanessa is a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy graduate with an academic scholarship, blends academic excellence with leadership experience from her time in the student council.
In her professional journey, she thrives on continuous learning, particularly in navigating the dynamic accounting landscape in New Zealand. Beyond work, Vanessa enjoys forensics-related movies and TV series, displaying her analytical mindset, and finds joy in solving word puzzles, showcasing her passion for mental challenges.
